You must have all heard stories about him.
Some people say that he helped Tang Monk obtain the true scriptures, conferred the title of Fighting Victory Buddha, and stayed in Lingshan from then on.
Some people also say that it was not him who became a Buddha at all. The real him died on the westward journey long ago.
Others say that Journey to the West never happened and that he was just a monkey made up by storytellers.
But you must have never heard the story I'm about to tell.
I, the six-eared macaque, "replaced" Sun Wukong in the battle between the real and fake Monkey King, and became the fighting Buddha of Lingshan. But when I opened my eyes at the bottom of the Cliff of Repentance, what I heard was the cries of thousands of innocent souls under the Lingshan Mountain, and the wail of my twin brother Sun Wukong's true spirit being ignited.
They say that Heaven is a place of bliss. But on the way to heaven, there are countless bones and no one has collected them.
They say that Buddha is compassionate and saves all living beings. But under the Lingshan Mountain, there are buried the innocent souls of thousands of pilgrims.
They said that Sun Wukong was unruly and brought trouble to the three realms. But no one knows who drove him step by step into a demon monkey.
I'm not a fake. He and I were originally blood twins split into two parts by the Chaos Demon Ape. His true spirit was not extinguished and was sealed in the deepest part of Lingshan Mountain, burning as a "Buddha lamp" that illuminated the three realms.
In this life, I will not learn scriptures, worship Buddha, or worship gods.
I want to climb the spiritual mountain, smash the lotus platform, and overturn the demon-suppressing tower.
If the sky presses on me, it will split that day. If the earth holds me back, I will trample the earth to pieces.
We were born free, who dares to be superior!
