In 1978, Zhou Ye, an educated youth who returned to the city, recognized his father's watch that had been missing for three years at the Beicheng ice rink. In order to find out his father's death, he was re-involved in the struggle between the stubborn masters. He also broke into the reform and opening up with a group of teenagers from the ice rink, dance parties and alley fights. Forty-six years later, the old youth case fell into the hands of their grandchildren.
