[Historical What-If] [Great Ming] [Military-Industrial Black Technology] [Hilarious and Lighthearted] [Beloved Old Zhu] [Feel-Good Power Fantasy]
"Report! Your Majesty! The Hall of Supreme Harmony has collapsed!"
"The Sixth Imperial Grandson was testing medicine inside and blew the roof off the throne hall!"
During the Hongwu era, Old Zhu looked at the rubble, grabbed his belt, and charged toward the rear courtyard, murderous intent in his eyes.
"You little brat! If I don't beat your butt till it's covered in flowers today, then I'm no Zhu Yuanzhang!"
The six-year-old Dumpling wiped the black soot from his face and pulled out two metal objects, speaking in a childish voice.
"Grandfather, don't be angry. I just thought court was too dark, so I casually whipped up a high-explosive grenade... Here, pull these two pins and everything within a hundred paces will be wiped clean. A little gift for you."
Old Zhu: "???"
While the civil and military officials were still quoting the classics, the six-year-old imperial grandson had already shifted the Great Ming's entire vibe three hundred years into the future:
smokeless gunpowder, self-loading arquebuses, large-caliber Western cannons, steam engines...
Zhu Biao: "Father, how about giving the position of crown prince to Ying? Your son gets dragged into studying calculus with him every day..."
Zhu Di: "Nephew, equip your Fourth Uncle with three thousand bolt-action rifles. I'll round up the Northern Yuan and make them herd sheep for our Great Ming!"
Looking at the silver piled up in the imperial treasury and the Tartars blasted into singing and dancing, Old Zhu grinned so hard his face nearly split.
"Blow them up! Blow them up good! If the Hall of Supreme Harmony isn't enough, we'll renovate the Forbidden City and let you blow that up too!"
The subject matter is very interesting, but the writing is not like a novel, but like a composition. The novel is describing some things, but what the author wrote feels like a statement. It is not appropriate to call it a running account, but it is a bit stiff and not full enough. I didn't see much description of the scenes and environments, and there was basically no description of the characters. Can't see the rhythm control
