The story begins in a utopian secret realm: Water-Moon Grotto Heaven. The Tong clan possesses supernatural abilities and has lived in seclusion for five hundred years. When their clan leader falls gravely ill, three brothers venture into the world to find medicine, only to stumble upon the bloodshed beyond their home and old family grudges.
This is more than just a story about "fighting monsters and leveling up"; it is a tragedy about fate and defiance. The eldest brother, Tong Bo (played by Yu Bo), struggles between near-perfect divinity and humanity. The second brother, Tong Zhan (played by Yang Junyi), grows from a rash youth into someone who bears the fate of his clan. The third brother, Tong Xin (played by Zhang Jin), loses and then regains his innocent heart. Together, they form one of the most moving brotherly ensembles in the history of Chinese-language television.
