An Ancient Well Connects Two Worlds, and a Cute Little Treasure Feeds a Family in Ancient Times

Farming + travel between past and present + comeback + no romance + cozy daily life

Seven-year-old Chou Ya, also known as Shen Cailing, is beaten and berated by her grandparents, who plan to sell her as a child bride to a cripple.

Her father, a convict slave, is about to be sold, and her gravely ill mother is on the verge of death.

With nowhere else to turn, she throws herself into a dry well and unexpectedly tumbles into a strange world called a “scenic area.”

People here call her a little beggar, give her bread and milk, and even pay her wages!

By day, she’s the scenic area’s most dedicated “NPC little beggar,” earning money by acting cute and saving up for food.

At night, she climbs into the dry well and returns to the past, using steaming white-flour buns to feed her parents, buy her sister’s freedom, build a house, purchase land, and even send her father to take the civil service exams!

The ancient well connects two worlds, and when this adorable little one gets to work, the whole family benefits!

At first, she gets by on her cuteness. Later, she relies on technology. The hopes of the entire village rest on this seven-year-old little dumpling.
