After transmigrating to a world of swords and magic twenty-three years ago, Roland has accepted his fate: born into a ducal family, he's destined to be cast out under the law of divided inheritance.
The empire isn't corrupt, the court isn't rotten, the law of divided inheritance is a good policy, and his older siblings all dote on him.
The whole world is on his side.
Everyone except his own "Territory Development System."
The System says: the more money your territory loses, the more you earn.
But the System also stipulates that every project must be legal, reasonable, and genuine. Wasteful spending and lining your own pockets don't count.
Roland spends all night thinking it over, then decides to put every silver coin where it'll do the most good, and watches helplessly as his territory gradually improves.
