Doomsday Countdown: I Fool the State into Building the Great Wall

Only three months remain before alien insects descend and an ice age destroys Earth!

Ye Xinghe, an impoverished astronomy student, awakens the Civilization Simulation System. With enough resources, he can unlock planetary engine and mecha technology. But he can’t even afford next month’s rent!

Build an underground city? Build mechas? That’s impossible for one person! Ye Xinghe takes the first result of his simulations, a set of room-temperature superconductivity research, and barges straight into the Ministry of National Defense!

“The world will end in three months. I’ll provide the technology, the country will provide the people, and together we’ll build an iron wall around Jiuzhou!”

After senior officials verify the technology, the sleeping infrastructure-building machine that is Longguo roars to life! All entertainment industries are shut down, ten million construction troops head to the border, and the entire nation joins forces to build a doomsday fortress!

Ye Xinghe is appointed chief engineer, granted a general’s rank, and given the highest privileges.

On the eve of doomsday, the academic tyrant who once plagiarized Ye Xinghe’s thesis and the spoiled young master who throws his weight around try to seize a ticket to an underground shelter. They shove Ye Xinghe’s parents to the ground.

Ye Xinghe arrives in uniform, surrounded by a security platoon. He says nothing, only waves a hand. “Wartime regulations: anyone who attacks the chief engineer’s family is to be shot on the spot!”
