Deep-Sea Beast Tamer

Introduction to Beast Refining in the Deep Sea

Abyssal City is a vast city turned upside down beneath the deep sea. The deeper you go, the darker and harsher it gets. The people of the seafloor are born with gills and can breathe and swim underwater. Their sole law of survival is “beast refining”: kill sea beasts, refine their cores, and claim their talents as your own.

Zhang Xiaoqi is a fifteen-year-old miner on the seventh level, orphaned and covered in old scars. He would have rotted away in the black mines under the lash until he found a piece of black abyssal stone in an abandoned tunnel. One drop of blue blood awakened his beast-refining ability.

He plunges alone into the abyss, refining an Abyssal Python to gain Space-Splitting Strikes, a Void Realm Turtle to gain Void Realm Armor, and a Life Sea Cucumber to gain undying regeneration. Finally, he risks his life to refine the clan’s sacred guardian beast, the Nightbone Centipede, and forges an undefeated body built for close combat.

Starting from the seventh level, he kills Su Mu, slays Su Hang, raids Su Li by night, destroys crossbow cannons, and foils poison plots, tearing apart the nine clans’ rule over the lower levels one step at a time. The Shen family gives him a map of the waters, the Wei family supplies weapons, the Luo family opens a sea route, and the Bai family offers an antidote. Some admire him, some use him as a weapon, and some just look out for themselves. He accepts it all, but never kneels.

Because he doesn’t want a throne. He wants the people of the seafloor to be able to live like human beings.

Beast refining refines beasts, but it also tests the human heart.
