Rustic Charm: A Mountain Village Veterinarian's Passionate Life

Gu Xiaofeng, a veterinary graduate from an agricultural university, returns to his hometown with three skills: veterinary medicine, ancestral herbal remedies, and scientific animal husbandry.

Superstition runs rampant in the mountain villages, and fake medicine peddlers prey on farmers, who are exploited at every turn. He treats illnesses and livestock, makes his family's traditional veterinary remedies, and improves animal husbandry techniques, using his skills to tackle the chaos in the countryside.

He meets a charming widow, a shrewd businesswoman, and an innocent village girl, then ventures into the mountains with his best buddies.

Treating illnesses, creating new sources of income, exposing fraud, and helping the villagers get rich, he writes a passionate story of life as a village veterinarian amid the yellow-earth hills.
