The Delicate Little Stepmom of the 1970s, Adored by Five Little Rascals

[Period Setting + Transmigration + Adorable Kids + Sweet Romance + Building a Fortune]

The pampered Lin Nian opens her eyes and finds herself transmigrated into the role of the young stepmother of Gu Ye, a rugged man in the 1970s who has just married her.

Not only is the house bare, but it also comes with five mischievous kids who have already agreed to drive her out.

The eldest stuffs bugs into her shoes, the second deliberately drops his bowl, the third and fourth run wild all over the yard, and the youngest, Wumao, blinks his big eyes and plays pitiful.

Everyone in the village is waiting for a laugh, convinced this delicate new bride won't last three days.

But Lin Nian simply rolls up her sleeves and lays down new rules for the household.

They can be mischievous, but they have to clean up their own messes. If they want good food, they have to do their chores first.

Then she turns around and cooks up a pot of fragrant red-braised pork.

The five little troublemakers, who had all been determined to drive her away, waver on the spot.

Today, Wumao clings to her leg and won't let go. Tomorrow, Ermao secretly saves her some candy. Damao may put up the toughest front, but he keeps stepping in to protect her.

In less than a month, all five kids have completely switched sides. They compete to fetch water, bring her food, and call her Mom, eager to spoil their delicate little stepmother rotten.

The villagers, who had been waiting for a laugh, are dumbfounded. One after another, they show up at her door with eggs to ask for advice.

Life grows better by the day, and the children cling to her more and more.

Until one night, the stone-faced, rugged Gu Ye finally can't hold back. He pulls her into his arms and asks softly:

"The five kids fight me for you every day... when do I get my turn?"
