[Republican-Era Martial Arts] + [A World Overrun by Demons] + [Progression]
The previous dynasty has fallen, warlords divide the land, and foreign powers bring battleships and cannons alongside the shadows of evil gods. Within the country, demons run rampant and vengeful ghosts roam freely.
In this lawless era, when human life is worth less than grass, Lu Changfeng came down from the mountains carrying a redwood opera trunk.
People thought he was a lowly stage performer, until the day a warlord's armored train smashed through the city gates and a foreign black magician laughed wildly from atop the walls.
Lu Changfeng sighed, dipped his brush in cinnabar on the opera stage, and painted a blue-faced, fanged visage.
“Boom!”
A scholar from beneath Zhongnan Mountain, a ghost king-slayer of the underworld!
His eight-foot spear shattered foreign guns and cannons, while the living Zhong Kui tore apart Western evil gods with his bare hands! Guan Yu cast off his robe, Erlang manifested his divine power...
On the tiny opera stage, he could portray all the gods of the heavens. Every time he took on a role, he could permanently acquire one divine ability!
