Si Teng: Eighth Master, I Renew Lives, Not Fortunes

Qi Tiezui had read countless fortunes in his life, but he never foresaw that a vine would “outsmart” him.

The night Situ awakened, a withered vine burst through the window, and a demoness entered the world. She forcibly prolonged Ya Tou's life, then tied a “symbiotic contract” around his fingertip. From then on, the Eighth Master's life belonged to her, and hers was bound to him. If they were more than a hundred paces apart, one would suffer ringing ears and shortness of breath, while the other's demonic bones would crumble to ash.

In the eyes of outsiders, the Eighth Master was a fortune-teller under a demoness's thumb. Only he knew that the woman who would tell him, “Don't die. Your life is mine,” whenever he had a fever was more afraid of loneliness than anyone.

They explored mines, lit the sky lantern, braved Beiping, and dodged the ravages of war. Before the Corpse Beetle King, she shielded him with her vines; in an air-raid shelter, he kissed her forehead for the first time. From “Qi Tiezui, you're mine” to “From now on, I'll read your fortune, and I'll help you get your revenge,” their hearts slowly drew together amid the chaos until they became one.

See how the Eighth Master uses his silver tongue and sincere heart to coax this proud vine demon into becoming his one and only wife.
