The interstellar federation is rotten and corrupt, while alien insectoid races continue to invade. Ling Wei, a young scavenger from the lowest rungs of space, unexpectedly awakens the genes of an ancient War God. Piloting a battered, modified warship, she roams the most dangerous star regions, takes on insectoid hives alone, fights the federation's tyrants, and rallies the interstellar wanderers. With the heart of a lone female hero, she upholds freedom and hope across the entire galaxy.
