This is a story about "letting go".
Li Kui, the black whirlwind on Liangshan Mountain, used to be a murderer without blinking an eye.
Later, he saw a brother on the battlefield silently saying "live on" to his sister before he died. The ax in his hand suddenly became too heavy to hold. He put down the butcher knife and walked towards a land called Gui Clan.
The Gui people are just a piece of land, but in their hearts, it is higher than this land. It is their place of return and their spiritual home. Li Kui spent most of his life here to achieve four words: live a good life.
These four words were left to him by someone.
This man's name was Yan Qing. Many years later, Yan Qing's son traveled across the mountains and came to the Gui tribe to confirm one thing for his father: whether that rough man was living a good life.
Some promises are only confirmed after a lifetime.
Li Kui was the first person to enter the Gui tribe, but he was not the last.
