What Do You Mean, Victorious Fighting Buddha? I'm the Great Sage Equal to Heaven!

After traveling 108,000 li through wind and frost and enduring all eighty-one trials, the four masters and disciples finally caught sight of Spirit Mountain.

A mighty river blocked their path, and a strange little boat drifted across its surface. The boat's bottom was hollow, with the river flowing straight through it. A white-browed old man stood at the bow, suspended in midair. The words "Kongkong Zai" floated lightly into Sun Wukong's ears, and countless sealed, broken fragments of memory surged through his mind. A Bodhi leaf drifted down on the wind, and the old man vanished into thin air. Then the empty bottom of the boat abruptly solidified.

Thinking this was a sign from the Buddhist world, they boarded the ferry and set off for the Western Paradise. But the moment they entered the Great Thunderclap Monastery, the illusion shattered.

The golden lotuses in the lotus pond were rotten and black inside. The five hundred arhats wore identical, eerie smiles, and deadly traps lurked throughout the holy grounds, where Buddhist chants echoed. Seated on his lotus throne, the Tathagata revealed the cruel truth before everyone: the disciples who had endured countless hardships were merely tools for escorting Jin Chanzi. The true reward belonged to Tang Sanzang alone.

All of Bajie's blood and sweat had gone to waste. The honest, taciturn Sha Seng dropped his disguise, revealing himself as a spy planted by the Jade Emperor. The Tathagata's divine palm crashed down, intent on wiping them out on the spot.

The Golden Cudgel trembled with a metallic clang. Sun Wukong suddenly came to his senses: the mysterious white-browed old man by the river was none other than Patriarch Bodhi, who had disappeared many years ago.

The so-called pilgrimage to the Western Heaven had never been a meritorious deed to save all living beings. It was a deadly trap laid over countless ages. The gods and Buddhas were false and benevolent, and karma was an illusion. Trapped in dire straits on Spirit Mountain, the master and disciples would have to fight back against the monstrous lie woven by the entire Western Heaven.
