An unconventional palace-intrigue story. On the surface, the heroine is forced to fight the consorts, but in truth, every move she makes is aimed at getting deposed and kicked out of the palace. She uses the KPI mindset of a modern office worker to break down the harem’s power struggles: she treats herself as a project manager, the consorts as obstacles, and the emperor as the big boss. Every face-slapping moment is calibrated to land right on the line between passing the test and avoiding promotion. But the System keeps raising the difficulty of her missions, while the emperor grows increasingly fascinated by the way she “never plays by the rules,” pushing her farther and farther from her goal.
