Transmigrated as a Sickly Child, the Four-Year-Old Turns His Life Around with Food

After Song Tang, a three-Michelin-starred chef, suddenly died in the kitchen, she opened her eyes to find herself in the body of a frail four-year-old girl.

Her family is dirt poor from the start: her father is bedridden, her mother works herself sick, and her older brother has dropped out of school.

Worse still, the child runs a fever every few days, and everyone in the village says she won't survive.

Luckily, a book titled The Cookbook of Ten Thousand Flavors has appeared in her mind.

A bowl of fish soup brings down a high fever, a plate of wild greens restores vitality, and a pot of meat porridge gets her father, bedridden for three years, to wiggle his toes.

Standing on a little stool, Song Tang tosses food in her wok and calls out in her childish voice:

“Stomach-soothing porridge, three coins a bowl! Only ten servings. When they're gone, I'm closing up and going to beddy-bye!”

From then on

A down-on-his-luck scholar plagued by stomach trouble becomes a loyal regular;

The county magistrate, who can't stop coughing, sends someone to wait in line;

A distinguished visitor from the capital catches the aroma and gets down from their horse, insisting on making her their goddaughter!

Everyone: “This child's cooking can cure illnesses!”

Hugging her money jar behind the stove, Song Tang says, “I just want to get by comfortably and get healthy. Could you all stop turning this into a competition?”

A slender scholar lifts his empty bowl and smiles with refined warmth. “Another bowl, please.”

Song Tang: “…You licked that bowl clean. What do you mean, another?”
