I am a delivery boy who moved into an old apartment with a bad reputation to save money.
I encountered evil spirits on the first night. Standing in the room was a woman wearing a bright red wedding dress, with a phoenix crown and a halo, and blood dripping from under the hijab. She asked softly: "Mr. Sir, come to have a drink at the bar?" The sound of tapping dancing shoes came from next door, and the lady of the Republic of China put her hands on her hips and scolded me for stepping on her dancing shoes; at the corner of the stairs, a woman in white held an oil-paper umbrella and smiled at me; and on the old TV in the living room, a hand stretched out from the snowflake screen, Sadako's voice was sweet and sticky: "Don't go, watch this video tape with me..."
I knelt down on the ground among the talismans and cried loudly: Where is the haunted house that we agreed on? Each of these four female ghosts is more clingy than the last! The bride from the Tang Dynasty made blood glutinous rice cakes for me every day. The lady from the Republic of China forced me to learn ballroom dancing. The fairy in white asked me to accompany her until dawn. Sadako went even further. Half an hour after I came home late from delivering takeout, she crawled out of the TV room to look for me.
Until that day, I saw the four of them pushing an evil spirit to the ground who wanted to harm me. The woman in red wedding dress raised a corner of her hijab and said, "touch him?" The oil-paper umbrella in white clothes twirled lightly: "Try it." Sadako leaned out half of her body from the TV, her long hair was calm and said automatically, "He is ours."
Only then did I realize that this was not a haunted house. During the day, I work as a delivery boy regardless of weather conditions. When I come back at night, I have to pick a hijab for the bride, make the lady happy, watch the moon with the fairy, and fix the TV remote control for Sadako.
These days, I really don't know whether people suppress ghosts or ghosts suppress people.
