Lord of the Mysteries: Raising a Witch Through Sign-In

After transmigrating into a mysterious world, Zhang Wei becomes a newspaper intern in Backlund, barely scraping by from one meal to the next.

He plans to get rich by copying books using what he remembers of the future, but then a ding sounds in his head:

[The Witch Sign-In System has been bound!]

[Beginner task: Dress in women’s clothing, order a “Witch Special” across from the Nighthawks’ headquarters, and make sure the server remembers you.]

Zhang Wei: ???

I’m a grown man, and you want me to take the Demoness Pathway?!

System: Fail the task and explode on the spot.

Zhang Wei: ...Well, women’s clothes do feel nice.

From then on, a legend takes root in Backlund:

That mysterious Demoness, absurdly powerful and addicted to pranks, is a newspaper intern by day and a “person of special interest” to the Nighthawks by night. At the Tarot Club, even Mr. Fool can’t make sense of her.

She urges abused women to fight back, sends the Hanged Man an anonymous love letter, dances provocatively aboard the Church of Storms’ flagship, and steals a cardinal’s cross during a joint meeting of the Seven Churches...

Others follow the Demoness Pathway for pleasure. He follows it to stay alive!

Until the System issues its ultimate task:

[Stop the apocalypse from arriving, or... make the apocalypse more fun.]

Looking at all the troublemakers around the world, Zhang Wei gives a witchlike smile.

Cthulhu? Evil gods? The apocalypse?

Sorry, but in my world, all of them have to make way for the ridiculous!
