On the 194th day of the Eclipse Clan's invasion of Earth, people were still delivering takeout.
Gu Yang, the top delivery courier in Beaconfire City, delivered spicy malatang before the apocalypse and hemostatic gel afterward. His helmet was plastered with “Five-star reviews get cash back,” and he always kept spicy strips in his cargo box. His greatest ambition in life was to survive until the apocalypse ended, then go back and finish the bowl of malatang he'd left unfinished.
Until one day, in the burning ruins, he found the last hope of human civilization.
Yan Lie, bearer of the inheritance of fire, was covered in Eclipse marks. He thrust six-colored flames into Gu Yang's hands. “For me... go to the edge of the universe... find the Origin of the World... save Earth...” Gu Yang fell silent for three seconds, took the flames, and kicked him into an ambulance. “Why are you wailing? I've accepted this delivery.”
And so, an additional deliveryman riding a modified electric scooter joined humanity's most tragic expedition. His teammates were a sharp-tongued Water big sister, a proud, hotheaded Thunder bruiser, an unfathomable Wind captain, a compassionate Light saintess, and a mysterious assassin lurking in the shadows, watching him intently.
No one knew why the bearer's flames turned gold in his hands.
No one knew that what they were searching for might not be at the edge of the universe at all. It was right behind them, on the blue planet being devoured by patches of Eclipse.
From a novice who could barely spit sparks to the kindling that set everything ablaze. One ordinary man, one electric scooter, and a spirit that refused to be extinguished.
“I've accepted this delivery. The whole human race is the recipient, and shipping is due on arrival.”
