Honghuang: After Four Kalpas of Sign-Ins, the Three Xiao Return Today

Deep in the mountains of Dongsheng Shenzhou, I rock in a wicker chair beneath an old vine, fanning myself as I reflect on a million years gone by. Through the four great calamities of Creation, the Rampage of the Beasts, the Witch-Demon War, and the Investiture of the Gods, I stayed tucked away in this valley, never missing a single sign-in. Three figures come flying through the air beyond the valley: my cool and aloof eldest daughter in white robes, carrying a golden dipper; my composed second daughter, holding the Golden Flood Dragon Scissors; and the youngest, Bixiao, who has already rushed to the valley entrance, calling, “Daddy!”
