Military Industry: Stirring Up the Peninsula, the Bald Boss Blows Up the Foreign Concession

A young man who had returned from the Red Nation arrived at the ordnance factory.

The factory director welcomed him in person, arranged a dormitory, and praised him as a pillar of the nation’s future.

Su Hua just smiled and said nothing.

In the days that followed, everyone was stunned.

He halved the cost of bullets, built a cannon that could be dismantled into parts and carried on one’s back in seven days, and turned out an automatic rifle in half a month that could still fire after being soaked in water and buried in sand.

Everyone praised him as a once-in-a-century genius.

Only he knew he wasn’t doing research.

He was racing against a ticking clock.

Late one night, a coworker asked why he never rested.

Eyes fixed on the blueprints, he said softly,

“Because some things, if we don’t do them now, it’ll be too late.”
