Hogwarts: Merlin's Descendant Wants to Take It Easy
Arthur Ambrosius, sole heir to the oldest family in the Wizarding World, is said to be a direct descendant of Merlin.
He performed Wandless Magic at six months old, overloaded a testing crystal ball at one, finished reading the family's Restricted Section at three, and hung a goblin in midair for an entire afternoon at seven.
He has extraordinary talent, an illustrious family, and doting parents.
Others can only dream of being so lucky.
But Arthur just wants to keep a low profile.
Having transmigrated into the Harry Potter world, he knows better than anyone what is about to happen. Voldemort's return, the opening of the Chamber of Secrets, the Triwizard Tournament, a wizarding war... Every one of them is a huge hassle.
His plan is simple: quietly remain a bystander and never get involved of his own accord.
And yet...
He goes to Diagon Alley to buy a wand and gets handed a relic from Merlin's era. He buys a pet and ends up with a Kneazle hybrid. He tries to avoid the main characters, only to strike up a conversation with Harry Potter in a robe shop.
The night before term begins, an anonymous letter arrives at the estate:
"Child of the Ambrosius family, we will meet soon."
Arthur falls silent for a long while, then crumples up the letter.
"I'm here to attend Hogwarts, not to get a job."
But the wheels of fate never ask whether those involved are willing.
Merlin's descendant is destined to find trouble impossible to avoid.
He's the kind of guy who says he wants to avoid trouble, but ends up letting him get involved.
As long as the force is strong enough, there will be no trouble in any world
