Headed to the Capital with the Dust: From a Western Regions Tour to the Imperial Palace

(Historical, wuxia, road trip, ensemble cast, no romance, ship them however you like) A young swordsman heads down the mountain on his master's orders to search for medicine. At an inn, he happens upon four strangers from the jianghu. Each of his four companions is hiding a secret: a young nobleman from the capital with multiple identities, an orphan carrying the grudge of an exterminated clan, a half-breed from the Western Regions with a mysterious past, and a little Taoist priest whose fate is incomplete and whose life will be short.

The five set out together from the Western Regions, roaming the land and making their way through the jianghu, encountering strange adventures along the way until their journey leads them to the imperial palace.
