After winning the lottery, wage slave Jiang Ling was in a car accident and bound to the Heaven's Mandate Merit System.
She accumulated merit by doing good and helping people through calamities, hoping to prolong her life.
She unlocked all kinds of supernatural abilities, including causal observation and spirit vision.
Moving among ordinary people, she saw through one sinister plot after another, comforted wronged spirits, and guided those trapped in desperate circumstances away from misfortune and back onto the right path.
The road to doing good was far from smooth. Criticism and doubt followed one after another, and rumors spread online. Many people were convinced she was just putting on a show and chasing publicity.
Evil cultivators lurked in the shadows, waiting for a chance to strike and harm others.
One sealed cold case after another gradually came to light.
By chance, she met Yang Jian'an, captain of a criminal investigation team. Together, they joined forces to cut through layers of confusion and uncover the truth behind case after case.
Watch as Jiang Ling keeps goodness in her heart and makes merit her foundation, unraveling karmic ties and dispelling calamities amid the bustle of city life, all to protect the peace of the people around her.
