The Great Emperor Who Reached the Heavens Has Returned

Ten thousand years ago, Emperor Zhaoyan, who had reached the heavens, burned his emperor soul's source to seal away the Demon Lord Wu Jinli and fell above the Nine Heavens. The Demon Lord was suppressed beneath the Demon Abyss, but the seal gradually weakened. Now, the mortal continent has entered the early stages of spiritual qi revival. The spiritual qi of heaven and earth is thin, but demonic qi has begun seeping through cracks in the seal, polluting spiritual ley lines and triggering mutations. Sects are scattered throughout the mortal realm, unaware of the truth of the ancient era and dismissing it as myth and legend. Fragments of Zhaoyan's emperor soul drifted through the currents of spacetime for ten thousand years before finally descending into Xiao Jingshu, a Qingyun Sect outer disciple whose spiritual root had been crippled, and setting him on the path to return.
