[No Romance]
Before she was reborn, Leng Bai caught the eye of a pampered junior sister who was doted on by everyone.
The junior sister had everything she could want. She was the chosen one.
And Leng Bai? She simply cultivated dutifully and couldn't be bothered to socialize with anyone.
Then, for some reason, the people who liked the junior sister found out she had a Chaos Spiritual Root. They swaggered up to her and said, "Leng Bai, that spiritual root is wasted on you. Only in the right person's hands can it fulfill its true purpose."
Leng Bai flatly refused. "What's mine is mine. I'd rather die than give it away."
So, when everyone tried to force her, she chose to self-destruct.
She blew herself to smithereens.
Only after her death did Leng Bai learn that she had been living in a melodramatic story. The junior sister was the heroine, while she was a disposable extra whose role was to hand over her spiritual root.
But why should she? What was hers belonged to her alone. How could she not hate dying such a wretched death?
So when she got another chance at life, she turned around and ran straight to the Demon Realm.
If she couldn't beat the righteous sects, she could always join the villains, right?
But she never expected this:
The Demon Lord, her father, gently patted her head. "Come on, call me Dad."
The Ghost King, her mother, smiled as she fed her. "Lingling, eat more. You're too thin."
Her fourth sister was quiet and reserved, but made a different dish every day. Anyone who bullied Leng Bai would have their whole family poisoned.
Her three older brothers each had stranger personalities than the last, but somehow all turned into little shadows following her around.
Leng Bai: ...Weren't they supposed to be villains? Weren't they supposed to be cold-blooded and merciless?
Even more absurdly, this family realized that Leng Bai didn't want to live at all.
One after another, they clung to her and tearfully begged her to stay, as if they wouldn't go on living if Leng Bai died.
Leng Bai remained expressionless.
What else could she do?
They were family. She could only spoil them.
