Thirty-Nine Years of Star Tribulations

[Dual Heroines] A High-Attack, Low-Defense Divine General × A Mad Grand Princess

An alternate-history setting with ancient fantasy elements

The Star Lord must undergo a tribulation, and I was ordered to descend to the mortal realm and protect her.

My senior fellow disciple's wife warned me over and over to make sure the Star Lord lived to the age of thirty-nine. Otherwise, she would face endless calamity, reduced to ashes and nothingness. And so I, a distinguished Golden-Feather General of the Heavenly Court, became an ordinary bodyguard.

But nobody told me she would be reborn as the reigning emperor's eldest princess, or that she was the one who planned to seize the throne! Enemies surround her on all sides, and she makes a show of her power at every turn. She treats me like a pack animal and uses me as a shield.

Tell me, you're an immortal. Coming down to the mortal realm to undergo a tribulation is just a chance to play at being human, so why take it so seriously?

And yet, somehow, I took it seriously too…
