Apocalypse: I Got Scammed from the Start and Became Half-Zombie

On the first day of the Apocalypse, Zhou Yang was nearly killed after a scammer tried to extort him.

The woman had gotten herself mixed up with a madman. She fled all the way back to her apartment building, bringing the disaster into the elevator with her.

By the time Zhou Yang escaped, blood-red patterns had already crawled across his face.

He was infected, but he hadn't gone mad.

His mind was filled with violence, killing, and filthy evil thoughts, yet somehow he could still keep them in check.

Even more bizarrely, the madmen treated him like one of their own.

"Brother, want some human flesh?"

Zhou Yang: "No, I'm in a hurry."

While everyone else huddled at home, trembling, he was already riding his motorcycle with a knife in hand, cutting through hordes of madmen to rescue people.

These infected retained their memories. They could set ambushes, lie, and even take tanks into the streets to "hunt."

Zhou Yang thought that if he just made a few more trips, he could protect the people around him.

Until he realized:

A locked door could keep the madmen outside at bay.

But it couldn't stop someone inside from suddenly bursting into laughter.

"Are we heading to the capital next?"

"No."

"I'm staying here to fight them to the bitter end."

He gathered survivors and used spears, crossbows, and traps to reclaim the streets one by one.

This group was called the Genesis Army.

At last, the madmen realized that the "brother" who smelled just like them was leading people to hunt them down.

And a second lucid infected person appeared among his ranks.

The secret he carried might truly bring the Apocalypse to an end.

But before that, he would send the madmen straight to hell.
