Schemes in the Palace: One Wave Settles the Capital

On her first day as a cannon-fodder noble consort in the Cold Palace, Shen Weilan knows one thing: the Empress wants her to die with dignity.

Too bad she's an award-winning screenwriter. She's written her way out of this kind of dead end before.

Smoke in the Buddhist hall, a reversal at the imperial banquet, a palace search that unravels the plot. The whole palace wants her dead, and only the cold-as-steel Director of the Secret Office keeps changing her fate from the shadows.

Half a page of incomplete accounts uncovers a twenty-year-old case from the Eastern Palace. Within these towering palace walls, she uses her memories as a blade, breaking down the plot piece by piece. She will settle every account in this deep palace, with the people and the records alike.
