[ABO + alpha/alpha pairing + both leads' first and only partners + age gap + old-school melodrama + top dotes on bottom + one-sided confinement that turns into sweet romance]
Older, cool-headed, controlling alpha × beautiful, gentle, recessive alpha
Fei Nan first met his late younger brother's husband at the funeral.
Beautiful.
Beautiful even while crying, beautiful even in his disheveled state.
A person who should have been an S-rank alpha, but whose body was now stuck at sixteen. No money, no power, no one to rely on, freshly widowed and barely able to stand.
Fei Nan only looked at him a little longer.
After that, Qiao Xi never left his sight again.
He gave himself a reason: his younger brother had left him shares and entrusted him with taking care of the widower. Proper and perfectly reasonable.
But Fei Nan alone knew the truth: this was the moment he had been waiting for, the moment Qiao Xi had no one else by his side.
At first, all Fei Nan wanted was to keep him close.
Feed him, pamper him, give him every sweetness, then close the doors one by one.
Make Qiao Xi forget that there was a world outside, and forget what he was supposed to call Fei Nan.
Yes, Qiao Xi was supposed to call him "Big Brother."
But Qiao Xi had never once said it.
Fei Nan thought: You chose this yourself.
Until he discovered that Qiao Xi's forcibly altered glands could accept his mark, and even soothe the rut that medication could not suppress.
Only then did Fei Nan stop lying to himself.
"Stay here with me. Don't go anywhere."
(Content warning: the author wrote exactly what they wanted to satisfy their tastes.
Recessive alpha / beautiful bottom / lots of bottom adoration / Stockholm syndrome / old-school melodramatic wealthy-family plot
Spoiler warning: The bottom and his former husband were only married in name. The two main characters are each other's first and only partners.)
Needless to say, I kind of like the tone of this paragraph. It feels like reading a foreign novel. The relationship between the two male protagonists is relatively warm and natural, but Xixi's past feels a bit sour. It's quite interesting... Damn it, I have another novel to be updated.
