Three thousand meters beneath the earth, the Tower of Light is the only source of illumination. Ten years ago, Ultraman Serzo served as captain of the Defense Force, guarding this world, which never saw the sun, alongside his closest friend, Herau. But overnight, a conspiracy unfolded: Herau was framed as a traitor, and Serzo was controlled by a dark force that stole the Tower of Light’s radiance. The underground world plunged into eternal darkness, and the two friends were each cast onto the surface world.
In the human world, Serzo takes the alias Situ Shun and works at a pizza shop. For the first time, he tastes food, watches a butterfly emerge from its chrysalis, and feels the warmth of a home. Meanwhile, the malice of Emperor Carafal lures Herau ever deeper into the abyss. Convinced that Serzo betrayed him, Herau gradually loses himself in revenge and slaughter. At the same time, Serzo’s beloved, Ultraman Catherine, is struck by a curse and left on the brink of death, forcing Serzo to sacrifice his homeland in exchange for a chance to save her.
