One hundred years ago, the world was covered by something.
People call it "the rules."
Close the windows when it gets dark. Don't pick up the red paper. New shoes don't go on the bedside. The cat will hang on the tree when it dies.
No one remembers how the rules came about. No one asks why the rules exist. People just lived, lived cautiously, and spent a hundred years turning fear into a custom.
Jiang Su is here.
He remembers the world as it is.
He spent a long time tearing apart the rules one by one and peeling out the truth layer by layer. He thought he was rescuing everyone.
But when he looks back——
People standing on the ruins asked him:
"How can we live without rules?"
Jiang Su opened his mouth and found that he couldn't answer.
It turns out that there are some roads that once you leave, you really can't go back.
