Who Told Him to Become the Hero?!

[Anti-Cliché Western Fantasy] [Absolutely Hilarious] [If You Don't Laugh, Roast Me]

“I keep saying this: the otherworld's tone was already crooked. I didn't make it that way. They say heroes are the embodiment of light and hope, so why am I wanted after saving the world?”

Hero Lin Yuan angrily slams the table during an exclusive interview with Adventurers Weekly. The table shatters on impact. (Later identified as property of the Adventurers' Guild and added to the list of charges: No. 4, destruction of public property.)

The next day.

“I keep saying this: I did make the otherworld's tone crooked. Heroes should be wanted! A hero who isn't wanted isn't a good hero!”

After discovering that the portrait on his wanted poster makes him look unexpectedly handsome, Hero Lin Yuan does a complete about-face and submits suggested revisions to the Adventurers' Guild himself. (His main complaint is that the reward is too low.)

The third day.

The Adventurers' Guild announces that Lin Yuan's wanted poster has been upgraded to a “limited collector's edition,” complete with his autograph. It sells out on release day. Buyers include three reigning Demon Lords, two kingdom princesses, and Lin Yuan himself (he buys twenty, saying they're gifts).

The front-page headline of Adventurers Weekly. This issue outsells the magazine's entire circulation over the past ten years.
