The computer was burning and smoking and I rushed downstairs to find a repair shop. I opened the door and stepped into the Blue House on Huangni Road. I looked up and saw the broken flag of Yuelai Inn fluttering in the wind. There was no signal on my cell phone in my pocket and I hadn't changed into my T-shirt yet. Several passers-by wearing coarse cloth and short jackets gathered around me to look at me, and half of the shopkeeper's face peeked out from behind the threshold of the inn. He waved to me and pointed behind me. There was an unopened roll of parchment under the counter.
