Great Han: Fresh from a Humiliating Ordeal, I’m Asked by the Gods for Help

Historical what-if, the Han Dynasty, Han Xin, sci-fi mystery, high-IQ mind games, slaying gods, and subverting expectations

Outside Huaiyin, the destitute young Han Xin, who has endured the humiliation of crawling between someone’s legs, sits by the river. A being calling itself “Heaven” appears and promises him unparalleled military strategy and the throne as ruler of all under heaven. In return, all he has to do is help “Heaven” fill in a sea. Han Xin scoffs, but soon discovers that every miracle in the world, every military strategy, and even the myths of how Chinese civilization gained wisdom all originate from this mysterious “Heaven.”

To wash away his shame, he takes advantage of “Heaven’s” power, receives his general’s commission in Hanzhong, secretly crosses the Chencang route, fights with his back to the river, and carves out a kingdom for himself! When a million-strong army unites the realm, King of Qi Han Xin finally reaches that sea, only to uncover a chilling, despairing truth: the day the sea is filled in will be the day time turns back. Chinese civilization will be erased, and humanity will remain uncivilized beasts forever!

At that moment, the invincible God of War draws his sword.

“I, Han Xin, will never be the King of Qi of beasts!”
