1935, Changsha. Chen Pi Asi, the head of the Ping Sanmen, found a three-year-old child in the main coffin of an ancient tomb from the Song Dynasty in western Hunan.
The child was wearing a plain coat that would last for thousands of years, and was cold all over. There was a jade plaque around his neck with two seal characters engraved on it - "Jade Jue". There was no bleeding when the knife was cut, and the wound healed in an instant, just like a little rice dumpling.
Chen Pi wanted to kill this ominous thing with one strike. The child opened his eyes and looked at him quietly. He didn't cry or fuss. He just stretched out his cold little hand and grasped his index finger without letting go.
Later, Chen Pi discovered that the child could not speak. Not a single word. When I'm hungry, I'll just open my mouth and look at you; when I'm cold, I'll shrink into your arms; when I'm scared, I'll bury my whole face in your clothes and not say a word. Like a little beast that has just opened its eyes, it regards the first person it sees as the whole world.
People in Jiumen said: Chen Pi Asi picked up a dumb rice dumpling and will not live long. Zhang Qishan tested his blood and remained silent for a long time, saying that this was the bloodline lost by the Zhang family thousands of years ago; Er Erhong saw half of the child's face hiding behind the tangerine peel, and remembered many things; Wu Lao Gou waved the meat bun in front of him for three days, and the child finally reached out to take it; Black-backed Lao Liu blocked three waves of assassinations for him without saying a word; Qi Tiezui continued to divine nine hexagrams, and finally pushed the hexagram plate - "This child is not mute, he has been sleeping for too long and has forgotten how to speak human language."
Everyone said he was a scourge and deserved to be burned. Chen Pi pressed the man into his arms, and his voice was as cold as ice: "Whoever touches him, I will kill him."
Good-looking but a little lacking
