The Deposed Prince Governs the Empire: From the Start, I Sign In as the Executive Vice Emperor

Chu Yuan transmigrates into the Great Yan Dynasty as the useless Ninth Prince.

The old emperor pretends to go into seclusion to test his sons, ordering them to take turns governing the country. The court officials wait for a laugh, but Chu Yuan awakens the System and unlocks a hidden position from the start: “Executive Vice Emperor”!

“If I’m the executive one, then apart from giving birth to the crown prince, I’ll handle everything else!”

On his first day in office, he summons He Shen, history’s greatest corrupt official, and ransacks the homes of every court official, bursting the imperial treasury at the seams!

In his first month, he summons Jia Xu, the master poisoner, and leaves his royal brothers competing for the throne with nothing. They beg on their knees to be exiled before dawn!

In his first year, he summons Bai Qi, the God of Slaughter, and wipes the enemy kingdom off the map, tripling Great Yan’s territory!

A few years later, the old emperor emerges from seclusion. He sees Chu Yuan seated on the imperial throne, reviewing memorials, and then looks at the court officials, who know only the “Vice Emperor” and not the “Real Emperor.” He is completely dumbfounded.

“You unfilial son! I told you to govern the country, not render me powerless!”

Chu Yuan sighs. “Father, your son’s authority as Vice Emperor has gotten a little out of hand. Please bear with me. Or perhaps you’d like to retire early?”
