“Ushio is dead.”
After receiving an obituary for his childhood friend, Ushio Kofune, Shinpei Ajiro returned to his hometown, Hitogashima in Wakayama City, after two years away.
Shinpei reunited with family and friends, and the funeral proceeded smoothly. But a friend told him, “There are suspicious circumstances surrounding Ushio's death. She may have been murdered.”
The next day, a family living nearby suddenly disappeared without a trace. Around the same time, Shinpei heard an ominous rumor.
“If you see a ‘shadow’ that looks exactly like you, you'll be killed. The shadow will kill you!”
