Gu Niannian, an office worker who has been single her entire life, unexpectedly transmigrates into a novel as the evil supporting female character and gets bound to a "silly System."
System: "Host, your mission is to win over the powerful villain and make him fall in love with you!"
Gu Niannian: "No! I'm going to cling to the hero and heroine and be a happy little couch potato!"
To avoid the System's punishments, Gu Niannian embarks on a whole range of hilariously self-destructive antics.
Right in front of the villain, she gushes nonstop about the hero.
Right in front of the heroine, she puts on one baffling act after another.
She even tries to become the villain's sworn brother, hoping to turn him gay!
Gu Niannian assumes the villain will be furious with her, but his gaze grows stranger and stranger.
"Niannian, you've successfully caught my attention."
The powerful villain transforms into a scheming, devoted puppy and starts using every trick in the book to flirt with her, leaving Gu Niannian utterly smitten.
Gu Niannian: "I thought he was supposed to be a villain! How did he turn into a clingy sweetheart?"
In the end, Gu Niannian not only fails to become a couch potato, she also gets thoroughly devoured by the villain.
