The play focuses on women in the workplace, especially the various challenges and choices they face when it comes to fertility issues.
The story revolves around three women in Yuguo Company at different life stages: An Xin (played by Liu Mintao), a competitor born in the 1970s, fell to the bottom due to her husband's betrayal of marriage and workplace conspiracy, and had to reset everything and start over; Yao Wei (played by Wan Qian), a commercial director born in the 1980s, is a resolute and "wolf-like" manager in the workplace. However, due to an unexpected pregnancy, her relationship with her colleague Cheng Liang (Bai Ke) was exposed. (Played by Xing Fei), a new mother born in the 1990s, Liu Xiaoxi (played by Xing Fei), is caught between raising a newborn and coping with a busy work, and is overwhelmed.
Yao Wei and An Xin, who were originally competitors, gradually understood and cooperated with each other as they jointly dealt with the company's crisis and personal difficulties. Together with Liu Xiaoxi, the three women face workplace injustice, family conflicts and life choices caused by "childbirth". Under various pressures, they supported each other and bravely explored. In the end, they not only rediscovered their position and value in the workplace, but also solved their own emotional and family issues, completing a vivid interpretation of "lady's character" - that is, the tenacity, wisdom and tolerance of contemporary women.
