Chen Xuanye, Police Department file number 9527, is the wildest hoodlum in his precinct. While other punks get into fights, he picks fights with supernatural phenomena, because he's the only one who can see them. One late night, the police department gets a report of a haunted abandoned hospital. Chen Xuanye leads a team to investigate and gets possessed by a thousand-year-old vengeful ghost. Just as everyone thinks he's done for, a voice suddenly explodes in his mind: "Ding! Myriad Demon Command System activated. Host successfully bound to the Hundred Ghosts Night Parade Scroll..."
From then on, Chen Xuanye becomes the biggest headache in both the world of the living and the world of the dead. Other celestial masters draw talismans and chant spells to subdue demons. He just punches them until they beg for mercy. Other Taoist priests set up altars and perform rituals to drive out evil. He simply says, "Get down on your knees and call me Dad."
His ex-girlfriend, Su Wanqing, is a top young talent of Mount Longhu. Back then, she dumped Chen Xuanye with the words, "You're not good enough for me." Now she shows up with her new flame, the young master of the Qin family, to rub it in. Right in front of her, Chen Xuanye pins the thousand-year-old ghost king worshipped by the Qin family to the ground and beats him senseless. Then he turns to her with a smile. "You said I wasn't good enough for you back then. What about now? Are you good enough for me?"
He knows nothing about the supernatural or cultivation, but he can dominate the worlds of yin and yang with his fists and his System. When the forces of the three sacred lands, the Netherworld Ghost Kingdom, and the four demon realms all come after him to seize the Hundred Ghosts Night Parade Scroll, Chen Xuanye grins. "Want to steal my stuff? Sure. First, ask my fists if they agree."
