In her previous life, Su Ling was an overworked veterinarian, staying up all night for a monthly salary of just 2,500 yuan.
One day, she woke up and found she had transmigrated to the Pokemon world.
She thought she’d get to see cute Pokemon just like in the anime.
But the moment she arrived, she couldn’t keep a straight face. The anime’s rose-tinted filter had been lying all along!
The cute, dazed little Caterpie had become a giant, hairy, crawling insect.
The soft and adorable Pidgey was, in reality, a huge, scruffy sparrow with a sharp beak and claws.
Even the unremarkable Oddish looked wilted and eerily alien, like something from an invasion by the Trisolarans. Just looking at it made her skin crawl.
But setting aside the art style, everything else was wonderful.
She had finally escaped Earth’s endless overtime and cutthroat rat race, and found an amazing job in the Pokemon world!
No overtime, no rat race, free room and board, benefits through the roof, and she’d even landed herself a spot under one of the top figures in academia.
She’d assumed Professor Oak was a lofty, stern scholar who never smiled.
But after getting to know him, she discovered he was really just a laid-back old boy who loved instant noodles and writing haiku, quietly working hard behind the scenes to protect every newcomer in Pallet Town.
She could also watch countless iconic scenes up close.
On her very first day, she witnessed Ash and Gary’s classic introduction.
She tended a huge ecological backyard and cared for all kinds of Pokemon.
Some were energetic little troublemakers, while others were poor things, forgotten by their Trainers and quietly sinking into despair.
Little by little, she uncovered the gentle, realistic side of this world.
While Trainers from all over the world set off on their journeys to chase championships and legends,
Tsukimi Aya stayed behind in Pallet Town, doing research, raising Pokemon, and living a peaceful life.
Who’d still miss Earth when they could stay in a Pokemon world like this?
The veterinarian traveled into the world of hyper-realistic Pokémon and became Dr. Oak's assistant (?). It's very interesting. I'm looking forward to the follow-up development. Come on.
But it's hard for me to imagine what some Pokémon would look like in a realistic style ()
A veterinary student's fantasy before sudden death. Quite interesting.
