Supernatural Revival: Starting with the Image Ghost

Ensemble cast, no female lead

In ancient Huaxia, gods and Buddhas vanished without a trace.

Everyone believed they had ascended to immortality, unaware that those who stood at the peak had been the most terrifying ghost tamers all along.

They used their own bodies as coffins and their divine powers as locks, sealing the indescribable horrors beneath the mortal world. But every seal will one day weaken, and the things they left behind came to be known by later generations as “taboos.”

A jade Buddha that seems to ward off danger.

A Republic-era film reel that should never be screened.

A lightweight golden box.

Many years later, the supernatural fully returns, and ghost domains blanket the world.

“In this age of the Five Turbidities, the human world is a living hell.”

“I, Lin Mo, declare that the human world has fallen.”
