Ji Zhun woke up and found that his name had disappeared from the world. Not death, not missing, but being kicked out of a whole set of rules called "The Code." The person "Ji Zhun" no longer exists in the household registration, files, memories, and even in other people's cognitions. The world went on as usual, but he became a ghost outside of it.
He quickly understood that this city was originally maintained by codes: provisions were codes, violations were erased, and every rule on the wall was quietly rewriting reality. Some people hold the Eye of Reading and can see through fatal traps. Some people have been carved with gray words and become objects to be cleared in the Toigui Grid. Deep in the source code, it seems that the authority to rewrite the rules of this world is hidden.
What Ji Zhun wants to find is not only his name, but also the truth about why he was erased. An old letter sent to an empty house said "The recipient is me", and a plan that no one remembered three years ago surfaced. He moved forward along the codes that seemed harmless but were murderous at every step, traveling between domains, weighing between the gray words and the white world. Every choice determines whether he will be re-included by the system or completely reset to zero.
When a person disappears from all lists, does he still exist? When the code can be rewritten, who will make the new rules?
