The young man in the novel has the bones of a soldier and carries the Supreme Holy Body. He carries out gratifications and grudges as he pleases in the marketplace. There are grudges between wealthy families, grand gatherings of aristocratic families, fun on campus, companionship with close friends, as well as catastrophes in the world and the road ahead.
