Su Yingxue, a farm girl who spent more than a decade in the countryside, is actually the long-lost true daughter of the prestigious Su family. The day she is brought back to the estate, the housekeeper cruelly humiliates her, her adopted sister Su Xinyue pretends to yield while secretly laying traps, and her eldest brother Su Zhenting drives her out in front of everyone, blinded by prejudice. Her birth parents want to make amends, but they still favor the adopted daughter and eldest son who grew up by their side. At the welcoming banquet, the siblings join forces to make things difficult for her and set a trap. Su Yingxue handles them with ease, answering every accusation with reason, but her parents take their side. In the end, she swallows her grievances and is lodged in a remote side hall, where no one gives her a second thought. No one knows that this seemingly timid, gentle country girl is actually Nightblade, head of the martial world's foremost assassin organization. She possesses peerless martial arts, keen insight, and an unmatched ability to read people. The Su family's schemes in the name of kinship are merely the beginning of her entry into the game of the mortal world.
