"Sunflower in the Dust" tells the story of a girl who lives her life as "someone else's child", how to keep the seed in her heart that is not allowed to fully bloom in an illogical but very real high-pressure environment. It writes: When love becomes a way to steal air, what should a daughter do so that she can neither reject her mother nor kill herself? It does not focus on the cool solution of "escaping from the family of origin", but on a real but specific problem - how to change from "I must be good" to "I am good, but I am myself" in the days when tears and meals, grades and guilt are mixed.
