In the fall of 2019, Shen Nian, a junior majoring in Chinese language and literature, was sitting by the window in the fourth row on the third floor of the teaching building, listening to Chen Boyuan's lecture on Tang and Song poetry. In the six years after graduation, she read many of his poems, stored them in memos, and sorted them into categories. Late at night on January 2, 2026, she took a picture of the moon in the south and sent it to him. Starting from "This is the Moon in the South", they chatted more than a thousand kilometers apart. Seven months later, she said "forget it" and he said "I love you". There are thirty years between them, two cities in the north and south, a character who is unmarried and infertile, and a secret that no one knows. But the moon is full every month, jasmine blooms every summer, and the number of photos in the WeChat dialog box is still slowly increasing.
