On an autumn night at Wuzhang Plain, Zhuge Liang died in his army camp.
When he opened his eyes again, he was sitting in the palace at Chengdu. The face in the bronze mirror belonged to Liu Shan.
The Northern Expedition had failed, and the kingdom was nearing collapse. Everyone at court believed that after the chancellor's death, Shu Han could only shut its gates and defend what remained. But this time, Zhuge Liang was no longer a minister. He could personally reform the bureaucracy, reorganize the military rolls, and inspect the supply routes. He could also ensure that every decree for the Northern Expedition no longer had to wait for the emperor's approval from behind palace walls.
But becoming emperor did not mean the realm would automatically return to Han rule.
The powerful clans of Yizhou would not simply submit. The old ministers might not believe that "Liu Shan" had suddenly come to his senses. Jiang Wei would still have to lead his troops under suspicion. And beyond Longyou, Sima Yi soon realized that the supposedly hopeless ruler of Shu Han had become his most familiar, and most troublesome, opponent.
This time, Zhuge Liang would rule the Great Han in Liu Shan's body.
The Northern Expedition would no longer be the dying wish of a chancellor. It would be a national war that an emperor had to see through with his own hands.
It's okay, it's a four-g one. Anyway, the one I'm talking about is more transparent than some other novels. It sets up the mystery first, and lets the readers follow along. I mean, it's not until the end that the mystery is answered. Now I am able to write it down directly, and I will continue to read it.
Great book! Check it out occasionally when traveling during National Day
I quite like the genre, well written!
It's a deep rebirth drama with a good storyline. I look forward to more exciting sequels!
Well, it's okay, but it's not consistent enough.
There is a typo and it says eight instead of ten.
Wow, what a fresh book, but how could Shu Han succeed in his Northern Expedition to the Central Plains if it were another person? Was the author planning the Northern Expedition during Sima Yi's coup???
